The Granada Loudspeaker does things differently than most hifi speaker systems. For one, it features an open baffle design with no box. Most speakers go the other way, enclosing everything to give the listener a peak. It shouldn’t work, but it does. It’s all about the design. The Granada Loudspeaker is made from a three inch thick slab of Finnish Birch plywood. This gives the audio signal a tenor that is quite different from what you are used to. The bass is, expectedly, clear and powerful and the high end is surprisingly present and distinct. The design is paired with high excursion woofers that feature massive under-hung motors with a full copper sleeve on the pole. The Granada can be hyper-customized to suit anybody’s taste, for a price. The base model starts at $59,500 with full featured units coming in at $155,000.
